The biomaterials company myco won the Energy Efficiency category with its idea of replacing plastics with mycelium. Two companies are sharing the first place in the Digitalisation & Innovation category: BioHealing from Ostrava, and Codasip from Brno. The award for Sustainable Human Resources Development went to Dřevodílo. A special ‘Sustainable German Investment in the Czech Republic’ award went home with SUSPA. And the Award of the Bavarian Business Delegation to the Czech Republic went out to Aimtec. The event was hosted by presenter Daniela Brzobohatá. The ceremony was held on 14 November as part of the celebrations for the Chamber’s 30-year anniversary, with the motto 30 Jahre #MehrWert | Adding Value for 30 Years.

Economic transformation. That’s the alpha and omega of the current economic situation, and companies need to be well prepared in order to manage the process effectively. Yesterday’s business formulas no longer apply, and companies need to show high added value (#MehrWert), re-evaluate their existing strategy, and be extremely flexible.

This year we gave our awards for innovative approaches and agile strength to Czech companies with 500 employees or less that are adding this value not only to the Czech-German economy, but also the entire European economy,” states Bernard Bauer, Executive Board Member of the GCCIC. The winners of the German Economy Awards were decided by a jury of experts consisting of key figures from enterprises and institutions in the Czech and German economies.

A special Award of the Bavarian Business Delegation to the Czech Republic went to Aimtec. Roman Žák and Jaroslav Follprecht recognised the potential of digitalisation far earlier than most others. They interconnected logistics, manufacturing, quality control and shipping with automation technologies, people and machines, mainly in automotive – the most important industry for the Czech and German economies. “The fact that Aimtec organises the annual Trends in Automotive Logistics conference, held in cooperation with IHK Regensburg, played a large role in the decision as well,” notes Ursula Heinzel from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy‎.

TAL (Trends in Automotive Logistics) is a conference at which inspiring speakers from the practical and academic spheres meet with experts from manufacturing, automotive and IT. It’s also an opportunity to discuss the latest topics in logistics, manufacturing, integration and more, and how to use new technologies, methods and resources from the world of digitalisation. Aimtec is preparing the 23rd year of this conference in 2024.

The German Economy Award is organised with support from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

The premium partners for the German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce 30 Jahre #MehrWert | Adding Value for 30 Years anniversary are: The Free State of Bavaria, the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Adastra, Borgers CS, Bosch Group CZ, Siemens CZ and Škoda Auto.
