Modernising internal logistics with Android-based Zebra mobile terminals

The renowned Swedish manufacturer SKF makes bearings, insulation, lubrication systems and other components. Its Chodov manufacturing plant was constructed in 1995, and today it is a leading producer of central lubrication systems, which have a wide range of uses in a variety of industrial sectors.

Like many other companies, SKF formerly used Zebra mobile terminals based on Windows CE to manage its intralogistics and manufacturing processes. In cooperation with Aimtec, these now-unsupported units have been replaced with modern Android-based devices. Aimtec additionally provided SKF with premium services from the Zebra Technologies portfolio, such as Zebra Visibility IQ OneCare and Zebra AMS.
